The Flying Tigers 69th D.R.S. Association, Inc. is pleased to announce that George Makris, grandson of Flying Tiger veteran George Mueller (deceased) was awarded the first Marty Oxenburg Scolarship and Doris van Tanner Tursky Memorial Scholarship for the 2010-2011 academic year. George is studying automotive technology at Northern Virginia Community College in Fairfax, VA. George submitted an essay with his application that is a touching tribute to his grandfather and to all the men of the Flying Tigers 69th D.R.S.
