The Flying Tigers 69th D.R.S. Association is offering competitive academic scholarship awards for distribution in advance of the 2011-2012 school year:
►Marty Oxenburg Scholarship – Two $500 scholarships will be awarded.
►Doris van Tanner Tursky Endowment Scholarship – Two $500 scholarships will be awarded.
In order to be eligible to compete for the scholarship awards, the applicant must:
· Be a family member (e.g., child, grandchild, niece/nephew, great-niece/-nephew etc.) of a Flying Tiger veteran.
· Be accepted or enrolled in a university, college, technical program, or other relevant higher education program.
· Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 in the academic program (or based upon secondary school records for entering freshmen)
· Submit an official application form, with all supporting documentation and essays.

Students may apply for either one or both of the scholarship awards offered, and may reapply for scholarship funding annually. The Flying Tigers 69th D.R.S. Assn. Executive Board will make the final determination of award distribution.
